The principle supervisor for my MA is Andrew Quick director of LICA at Lancaster University. In his spare time he is also involved with imitating the dog an avant garde touring theatre that challenge theatrical
convention and create exciting and testing viewing experiences for its
audiences.
In this video Andrew explains the making of one of the theatres most successful ventures Hotel Methuselah a contemporary ghost story that explores our
fears around mortality, sexuality and the terrifying sense of
responsibility that comes with having children. In a stunning homage to
post-war British cinema and the French new wave, imitating the dog
create a unique and disturbingly immersive experience for the audience.
